Downtown Cary has lit up rainbow in honor of Pride Month.

The tall pillars of the Cary Arts Center are lit with a prismatic glow, and the rainbow colors spiral around the skywalk over Downtown Park. The amphitheater at the park has rainbow lights shining on the stage, where families can run, hula-hoop and play.

Downtown Cary is known for rotating the colors of their lights in honor of different national recognitions and holidays. They lit up blue during Police Week, shining “a blue light of support” to honor fallen officers. They lit up in honor of Juneteenth last summer. They also light up during the winter holidays, putting on an impressive display.

Rainbow lights aren’t the only way Downtown Cary will be celebrating Pride this year. They’re hosting Pride in the Park on June 22, an inclusive picnic for all families with colorful lawn games and arts and crafts.
