Warm & sunny Friday

PORTLAND, Oregon — More sunny skies today with Friday highs in the 70s to possibly 80 degrees from Salem to Portland. The coast will also see nice weather with beach highs in the 60s.  

June begins with a mostly cloudy Saturday and valley highs near 70-degrees.  Traces of rain or sprinkles will be possible, including Saturday evening during the Starlight Parade. 

Rain sets in Sunday, arriving during the morning hours.  Look for steady rain Sunday afternoon, night and Monday morning.  Heaviest rain rates will fall Sunday night and Monday morning as the surface front approaches.  48 hour valley rain totals could exceed an inch. 

After showers and sunbreaks Tuesday, dry and much warner weather returns Wednesday and Thursday.  Weather models disagree on hot weather or possibly rain showers going into the following weekend.
