SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Scholars at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) walked across the stage in their caps and gowns this Wednesday evening.
The Honors Convocation ceremony recognized top graduating students in the Class of 2024.
It honored the hard work and dedication of nearly 80 scholars, studying in a variety of academic disciplines. It celebrated their achievements in the classroom, programs, community work, and academic excellence.
“It’s important because they preserve and have the motivation to continue learning and their investing in themselves and it’s always a good investment to invest in yourself,” said STCC Director of Instructional Innovation and Faculty Investment, Mary Wiseman.
“It’s been very difficult but it feels awesome to be here,” added Graduate, Chris Dygon.
For Chris, this achievement is just the beginning as he plans to continue expanding his business and pursuing higher education.
