Military Appreciation Weekends at Discovery Place Science – free admission for active military personnel and USAA members – Charlotte On The Cheap

Discovery Place has announced several Military Appreciation Weekends in 2024. The weekends are sponsored by USAA. During these weekends, Discovery Place Science, 168 W 6th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, will free offer admission to those with active military ID or USAA membership, plus their families.

To receive the free admission, you’ll need to show an active military ID (not a picture of the ID) or a USAA membership (through a card or through the USAA mobile app.)

The program allows for up to four tickets per active military ID or USAA membership and can be reserved in advance here. In addition, Military Appreciation Weekends include up to four tickets to see one documentary film or one planetarium show in the Accenture IMAX Dome Theatre. Use code USAAMD2024 for the films.

Discovery Place Science’s hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

In addition, Discovery Place Kids Rockingham (but not Huntersville) is holding Military Appreciation Weekends. See below for their weekends.
