Shots fired into occupied car in Wendell, 63-year-old woman faces felony charges

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 63-year-old woman in connection of a shooting incident Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 12:05 p.m., authorities responded to the 7200 block of Abalone Way in Wendell for a report of shots fired into a car.

The occupied car was hit by gunfire while outside a home.

There are no reports of injuries.

Deputies arrested and charged Joann Salley with four counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

The investigation is still going.
