Wonderful Warmth Marches Into May – WCCB Charlotte’s CW

[ad_1]

A few showers and storms may impact your Tuesday evening commute, but rain chances largely hold off as we move into May.

After a cloudy start, the final weekend of April is ending on a beautiful and sunny note. Lows tonight will dip back into the 40s and 50s as mostly clear skies pick up where they left off Monday morning. Highs will return to the 70s and 80s for most as we kick off the workweek. More clouds build back into the WCCB Charlotte viewing area by Tuesday afternoon as a rainmaking system approaches from the west. Isolated showers and storms may impact your Tuesday evening commute; a few of these storms may be on the stronger side, but the overall severe threat is very low.

A stray shower may linger into Wednesday afternoon, but most of the moisture should clear the area by May’s first morning. Highs will continue to climb deeper into the 80s despite winds from a more northerly direction as we round into the back half of the workweek. Areas south and east may flirt with the 90s on Thursday before clouds slide back into the Carolinas by Friday. Next weekend is trending stormier, but highs should remain near 80° in the Queen City.

Tonight: Clearing out. Comfy. Low: 56°. Wind: SW 5-10.

Monday: Plentiful sunshine. High: 82°. Wind: SW 5-15.

Monday Night: Another pleasant night. Low: 58°. Wind: SW 5-10.

Tuesday: Mainly sunny with storms later in the day. High: 80°. Wind: SW 5-15. Gusts: 20+
