Earth Day events across the Bay area

TAMPA BAY, Fla. — Today is Earth Day!
And there are many events across the Bay area helping keep our planet clean and beautiful.
Today Frost Elementary School students in Riverview will participate in a tree planting. It will give second graders the chance to learn about native trees in Florida.
And their important role in protecting against storm surge during hurricanes and extreme heat.
Volunteers from J.P. Morgan Chase will help beautify the University area in Tampa.
They’ll paint murals, place pavers, and plant flowers at the harvest hope gym and garden.
That event runs until noon.
And the Clearwater public library invites you to celebrate earth day with Moana.
There will be crafts and games inspired by the Disney movie.
The event is for kids ages 6 to 12. Registration is required. It runs from 5 to 6 this evening.
Also, an Earth Day beach cleanup is taking place at Caddy’s Madeira Beach at 6 p.m., located at 14080 Gulf Boulevard.
And Edition in Tampa is hosting an Earth Day Serenity Under the Sky Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $45.
