ITASCA, Ill. — A rollover accident in Itasca was recently caused by two students actively participating in the “Senior Assassins” game, according to police.
Police said the two students were playing the game, involving squirt guns, when one vehicle lost control and rolled onto its side.
No one was seriously injured in the accident. All parties were cited appropriately for their actions, according to police.
The game has gained popularity among high school students. It involves a formation of teams with participants eliminating opposing players by “tagging” them with water guns.
According to police, incidents associated with the game have been occurring nationwide — most recently in Gurnee after a concealed-carry holder mistook the “Senior Assassins” game for an actual threat.
