2 injured in dog attack in Northeast DC

Investigators say two people, identified only as an adult and a child, were injured in the reported dog attack.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after an adult and child were injured in a dog attack Monday evening.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 800 block of 49th Street, Northeast shortly after 6:30 p.m. 

Investigators say two people, identified only as an adult and a child, were injured in the reported dog attack. Both were conscious and breathing when help arrived. The two victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment. 

There is no word on the dog at this time.
