Arrest made in fatal May 2023 shooting in Stockton

(FOX40.COM) — A man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Stockton last year, the Stockton Police Department said.

According to police, on May 20, 2023, officers responded to a report of a person shot near S. Aurora Street and E Scotts Avenue.

Police said they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the police department, detectives arrested a man in connection with the homicide on March 19.

Police said he was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
