Being an NFL Player isn’t supposed to be a remote position.

But quarterback Kenny Pickett has had plenty of football success without leaving the tri-state region.

The Eagles continued to make more transactions that a grocery store credit card reader when on Friday they added former first round draft pick Kenny Pickett to backup Jalen Hurts.

On March 15th, Pickett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a third round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and two seventh round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Between High School, College, and the NFL — Kenny hasn’t had to travel far.

An Ocean County, NJ native — Pickett was the 247sports #23 player in New Jersey when playing at Ocean Township High School. As a Junior, he led Ocean Township High School New Jersey Central Group III semifinal game.

Originally committing to Temple, Pickett played at Pitt where he amassed the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (2021,) ACC Athlete of the Year (2022,) ACC Player of the Year (2021,) ACC Offensive Player of the Year (2021,)First-team All-American (2021,) First-team All-ACC (2021) in his college career between 2017–2021.

With the Eagles, Pickett will look to return to his first-round draft status as a reliable backup for Jalen Hurts where he was taken with the 20th pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
