Man killed in Brooklyn shooting

A man was killed in a shooting in Brooklyn on Sunday, according to police.

The 38-year-old victim was on E. 51st near Linden Blvd. in East Flatbush when gunfire rang out around 7:45 p.m., cops said.

The man was shot in the chest.

“We were outside when we heard the shot,” said a neighbor who was working on his car a few houses away. “We heard a woman crying.”

Medics rushed the mortally wounded man to Brookdale Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Police are still working to track down the shooter.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.
