Rain, wind, showers & t’storms for Monday
[ad_1]
Heavy rain moves into the forecast by Monday afternoon, and we’ll also see breezy conditions too.
PORTLAND, Oregon — It sure has been a stormy kind of day with heavy downpours and very strong winds too. We’re going to see the showers and wind back off a bit by the later part of this evening, but another round of rain and wind will arrive by Monday afternoon. We’re going to see heavy rainfall at times Monday afternoon and through the evening hours with gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
A winter weather advisory continues today above 4,500 feet through Tuesday night. The Cascades could see about 5-10″ of snow over the next 48 hours, with strong winds too. Gusts over the next couple of days are going to be around 40 mph, so expect to see blowing snow at times, if you’re going to be traveling over the higher elevations.
Rain ends Wednesday as high pressure will move in bringing us sunshine and warmer temperatures through next weekend. In fact, Portland could see the first 70 degree day on Saturday! This will sure be a treat as the average time Portland hits 70 degrees happens in early April.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
