[ad_1]
(KRON) — In the last 36 hours dating back to Friday morning, the Bay Area has experienced a storm with heavy rain and strong winds. As many as 25,000 PG&E customers lost their power at one point on Friday night, primarily in Sonoma County.
In addition to power outages, hundreds of flights coming in and out of the Bay Area have been delayed. The airports affected include San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San José Mineta International Airport (SJC).
As of 6 p.m., there were nearly 400 delayed flights combined between SFO and SJC. Twenty-nine flights were canceled, airport officials told KRON4.
- SFO: 335 delays, 28 cancellations
- SJC: 45 delays, 1 cancellation
KRON4 reached out to Oakland Airport regarding flight delays and cancellations. We have not heard back.
Check out the latest flight status at Oakland Airport’s, SFO‘s and SJC‘s websites.
