Man charged after woman stabbed, another robbed on Northwest side

CHICAGO — A Chicago man has been charged after a woman was stabbed on the city’s Northwest side Wednesday.
According to police, 44-year-old Allen Erenburg is charged with five felonies attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and robbery attempt with dangerous weapon.
Police said Erenburg was identified as the man who stabbed a 25-year-old woman in the 2800 block of West Diversey Avenue around 11:14 a.m. He also allegedly attempted to rob another individual before fleeing the scene.
Erenburg was arrested in the 2600 block of North Kedzie Road just twenty minutes after and charged accordingly.
He is set to be in court Thursday.
