Who better to join Umphrey’s McGee for their progressive metal masterpiece “Wizard Burial Ground” than Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy? Watch as the Portnoy-equipped band tackles the full track during a December 29 show at The Riviera Theater in Chicago, IL. It’s incredible, and not just because of Portnoy’s drum wizardry – the Umphrey’s McGee dudes fucking shred.

“When Umphrey’s McGee announced I was gonna be playing with them, their fans UNANIMOUSLY all asked for a version of their Prog/Metal instrumental epic ‘Wizard Burial Ground’ to be in the set… so of course, we had to oblige!” said Portnoy of the performance. “They’ve just released the full video of the performance on their YouTube channel… this one was a blast to play!”
