Pop-up marijuana event in Syracuse robbed of weed, money and security guard’s gun, police say – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Syracuse, N.Y. — A security guard at a pop-up marijuana event in Syracuse Saturday told police that the event was robbed by several people armed with guns.

The event at 3122 Grant Blvd. was reported to be robbed around 1:17 p.m. of marijuana, money and the guard’s gun, Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse police spokesperson, said.

The guard told police that people with guns approached the event and ordered people on the ground before robbing the event and running away, Malinowski said.
