Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Were Spotted on a Formula One Date Night

Five months after Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announced the birth of their youngest son, Ernest Brooksbank, the couple was spotted out on a date night far from home. On Monday, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner posted a photo that showed the princess and her husband of five years on a visit to Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit for a Formula One event. The trio was joined by two more British icons, actor Orlando Bloom and model Naomi Campbell.

Just last month, Eugenie’s cousin Prince Harry was spotted with Halliwell-Horner’s husband, Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner, at a Formula One race in Austin, Texas. Last July, Halliwell-Horner, an advocate for domestic violence charities, joined Prince William for an engagement at an elementary school at Wales, where the pair discussed his new anti-homelessness initiative Homewards. 

Last week, Eugenie appeared on the podcast Table Manners, hosted by musician Jessie Ware and her mother Lennie. In the interview, Eugenie discussed the second season of her podcast Floodlight and mentioned that she and Jack are now splitting their time between homes in the UK and Portugal. “I can go to the supermarket in my exercise gear and my hair piled on my head and not mind, not care,” she said of her life in the Iberian nation. “No one cares.”

She also discussed how she is adjusting to life as a mother to Ernest and older son August Brooksbank. “I think I’ve got magic children that take after me and Jack. They love sleeping,” she said. “Augie’s up a bit early, but Ernie sleeps ’til 8 in the morning.”

Though Harry’s relationship with most of his family is strained, he has remained close with Eugenie, who was the only royal to appear in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. In September, Portuguese outlet Nova Gente reported that Harry and wife Meghan Markle flew to Lisbon after the Invictus Games to visit Jack and Eugenie at the Costa Terra Golf and Ocean Club.
