U.S. urging Israel to delay ground assault of Gaza

The U.S. has been quietly urging Israel to delay an expected ground assault in Gaza. A delay would hopefully allow for the release of more hostages and for more aid to get into the Gaza Strip, along with providing time for American troops to prepare for an expected uptick in attacks in the region.
