This novel is the ultimate cozy Autumn read. It is fast-paced and relatable and is taking BookTok by storm. We get to know Liz, a hopeless romantic obsessed with her late mother’s rom-com collection. She dreams of living out one of these storylines and when her childhood crush moves back to town, she finally has her chance. Unfortunately, to get his attention she needs the help of the boy next door who has been making her life miserable since they were children. Great.

Books To Read If You’re Looking For Something A Little Spooky
These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling
This recommendation takes place in Salem, Mass., and follows Hannah, an elemental witch, set on avoiding her ex-girlfriend, Veronica, for the rest of summer. This seems like a pretty doable task for Hannah until something wicked appears and dark magic floods the town. Now, she’s forced to take this on alone or team up with the person she wants to see the least.

The Saturday Night Ghost Club by Craig Davidson
Jake is staying with his eccentric Uncle Calvin, an occult shop owner, and proud conspiracy theorist. When he makes two new friends in town, Calvin invites them to join The Saturday Night Ghost Club. Though, soon enough, Jake starts to question the stories his uncle is telling them and whether they have to do with the slightly haunted town they live in.
This is a beautiful coming-of-age story, rated 3.9 on GoodReads, which is filled with adventure and friendship and growing up. Plus, it’s set in Niagara Falls in the 1980s, so it has major Stranger Things vibes.

Another recommendation from Rainbow Rowell is on this list. Are we surprised? Pumpkinheads is the ultimate cozy autumn graphic novel. The images are stunning and the attention to detail will have you wanting to take a bite of the page.
The storyline follows two best friends in the fall of their senior year who work at a pumpkin patch. With this being their last ever shift together, they decide to go on all sorts of adventures and cross off their goals, go out with a bang. This is a fun, fast-paced, and cozy Autumn book, rated 4 stars on GoodReads and it’s sure to warm you right up!
