53 Carolina Hurricanes have their names engraved on Stanley Cup for this season. Who are they?

The Stanley Cup has been updated and engraved to include members of its latest champion: The 2025-26 Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes won the franchise’s second Cup in June with a 4-2 series victory over the Las Vegas Golden Knights. More than 192,000 people celebrated the Hurricanes at a parade through downtown Raleigh.

As is tradition, the Cup-winning team has individual names engraved on the trophy. There are 53 names listed under the heading Carolina Hurricanes 2025-26 — 24 of them players.

Owner Tom Dundon, his wife Veruschka and their five children — Caden, Dax, Drew, Blake, and Tagan — are the first seven names listed on the Cup and occupy the top two of 15 lines of Hurricanes listed. Dundon’s wife and his children don’t have formal roles with the Hurricanes organization.

Hurricanes chief executive Brian Fork, general manager Eric Tulsky, head coach Rod Brind’Amour and longtime assistant coach Jeff Daniels are on the third line. Assistant coach Tim Gleason, goaltending coach Paul Schonfelder, video coach Chris Huffine and video coordinator John Stanier are on the fourth line.

The names of head strength and conditioning coach Bill Burniston, head athletic trainer Doug Bennett, assistant athletic trainer Koryd Lavimoniere are engraved on the fifth line. Coordinator of rehabilitation and sports science/physical therapist Nick Mahaffey, massage therapist Mike Maresca, head equipment manager Jorge Alves and assistant equipment manager Nick Roy are listed on the sixth line.

Assistant equipment manager Patrick Budds, associate general manager Darren Yorke, assistant general manager Tyler Dellow and vice president of pro player personnel Chris Abbott occupy the seventh line. Director of pro scouting Mark Craig, special advisor to the general manager Justin Williams and manager of team services Mike Brown are on the eighth line.

The final seven lines are all players, led by captain Jordan Staal and then in alphabetical order by last name.

After Staal on the ninth line of engraved names are center Sebastian Aho and goaltender Frederik Andersen. The next line is forward Jackson Blake, goaltender Brandon Bussi, forward William Carrier and defenseman Jalen Chatfield.

The next line is forward Nicolas Deslauriers, forward Nikolaj Ehlers and defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere, followed by the engraved names of forward Taylor Hall, forward Mark Jankowski, center Seth Jarvis, and goaltender Pyotr Kotchetkov on the 12th line.

Center Jesper Kotkaniemi, forward Jordan Martinook and defenseman K’Andre Miller are on the next line. Defenseman Alexander Nikishin, defenseman Mike Reilly, forward Eric Robinson and defenseman Jaccob Slavin are on the 14th line. The final line is center Logan Stankoven, forward Andrei Svechnikov and defenseman Sean Walker.

Just two players, Staal and Carrier, had previously won the Cup.

Of the 24 players, all but Kotkaniemi and Kotchetkov saw action in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Kotchetkov was in uniform as the backup goaltender in the final three games of the Final against Las Vegas.

Dundon bought a majority share of the team in 2018 and took full control in 2021. Among Dundon’s first moves was to promote Brind’Amour from assistant coach to head coach, a franchise-altering decision. The Hurricanes have reached the playoffs in each season since Brind’Amour took over as head coach, winning at least one series in each playoff.

Brind’Amour was the captain of the Hurricanes’ 2006 Cup championship team.

Dundon sold shares of the team earlier this year, but none of the new owners — Brett Jefferson, Marc Grandisson and former NHL player Bobby Farnham — have their names on the Cup as part of this year’s team.

The Hurricanes could bring back nearly the same roster next season. Andersen, who started the first 16 playoff games for Carolina, signed with Edmonton earlier in the offseason.
