Two women in Wilton who are facing dozens of animal cruelty charges are now without their home as it has been deemed a health hazard by town officials. On Tuesday night lawmakers took another step forward with establishing an animal abuse registry in Saratoga County.
2. Saratoga Springs City Council votes to approve speed limit change
The Saratoga Springs City Council voted unanimously in favor of reducing the speed limit in parts of the city. The proposal calls for the speed limit on city streets to be lowered from 30 mph to 25 mph.
3. Demolition begins on Albany’s Central Warehouse
Demolition has begun on Central Warehouse in Albany, Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Tuesday. Located alongside I-787 and long known as the eyesore of the Capital Region, the 11-story building has been the center of numerous legal battles after falling into disarray.

Residents in Massachusetts have been raising concerns about the number of reckless electric bicycle (e-bike) riders on the roads this summer. The Dalton Police Department is working with residents to spread awareness about the rules and regulations surrounding e-bikes.
5. Berkshire DA reviewing reported misconduct at Miss Hall’s School
The Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office was given a report released by Aleta Law Firm regarding sexual misconduct at Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield. The DA’s office is reviewing the report.
