To celebrate 20 years of the Museum of Pop Culture, we’re highlighting 20 of the most notable moments from MoPOP’s history. For our nonprofit museum’s 18th milestone (see the first 17 milestones at the bottom of this blog!), we’re putting a focus on MoPOP’s environmental and sustainability efforts.

2018: In August of 2018, our building achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The certification reflected changes and upgrades we have made to our building to make it more environmentally friendly and to help create a healthier, more sustainable future.
