EMS on scene of Wake County home for possible drowning call

Chopper 11 flew over the scene and found EMS performing life-saving measures on what appears to be a child.

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) — A 2-year-old is dead after authorities said he was pulled from a pond near a Wake County home.

According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on Linden Crest Road.

Authorities said emergency officials attempted life-saving measures following the incident.

“The Wake County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the family and all those affected by this tragedy. We ask the community to keep them in your prayers and stand with them during this difficult time,” Sheriff Willie Rowe said.
