Perfect Black Pants for the Office
Are you back in the office now? I’m guessing that many of you are slowly migrating back into your office after almost three years of primarily working from home. (Yes, it’s been THAT long!?!?) Office Outfit #1
Isn’t this look so fun for the office? I styled the pants with a chic, printed, button-up top. I love the very unique and colorful “lips” print on this blouse, the relaxed but elegant fit, the flared cuffs, and tie-neck detail. You can leave the top untied or play around with it…I tied it loosely. I love this top, but you could swap it out for any chic printed blouse you have in your closet. One tip for fail-safe workwear blouses is to opt for a smaller-scale print that’s subtle and sophisticated.
Over the blouse, I have on a gorgeous red wool and cashmere blend coat with contrasting white trim. I love the coat, how it creates a waist, and pairs beautifully with the print on the blouse, but you could also go with a classic blazer if you’re not a huge fan of pops of color.
On my feet, I’m wearing a pair of classic black pumps, which are another must-have office basic. But you can see in these photos that the pants’ slit hem detail really helps frame the shoes. These pumps have about a 3” heel, which works perfectly with the pant length on me (I’m 5’4”). I’m wearing the “regular” length but they also come in tall and petite length options.

If you prefer more casual and cozy when it comes to office attire, then you will love this look! I’m wearing a wool and cashmere blend sweater with pleated shoulders, and lace underneath. I love that it has the black lace built-in so you don’t have to deal with layering yourself. But, if you would like to try layering yourself, I linked a similar sweater and cami above. This sweater is super comfortable, soft, and versatile. Wear it to the office with pants or to dinner with jeans. On my feet, I went with a pair of black sock booties I’ve had for years. Stick with a more fitted bootie with these pants to keep the look streamlined and sleek. Even better if they’re black to keep the legs looking long and lean.
