13-year-old girl stabbed by her 12-year-old brother in north Harris County apartment, Pct. 4 says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a 13-year-old girl was stabbed by her 12-year-old brother at a north Harris County apartment on Friday, according to Precinct 4 deputies.

According to law enforcement, deputies were dispatched to a weapons disturbance at the Park at North Vista Apartments in the 300 block of North Vista Drive at 6:05 p.m.

Deputies say that the teen girl sustained a stab wound on the side of her torso, and she is expected to be okay.

Authorities said the 12-year-old boy ran away, and officials are using a drone to search for the boy.

Officials say a guardian was at the apartment during the incident, but details about the guardian’s relationship with the children are unclear.
