One person was unaccounted for Tuesday after a fire broke out on a boat near Alcatraz Island, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
At least 17 people were on the boat when the blaze started, the fire department said. Several people reportedly were injured, but the fire department was still working to confirm specifics.
The boat was roughly 600 yards from Alcatraz when the fire broke out, according to the fire department.
